INSPIRATION

The initial idea came from my classmate Rohan, who wanted to tell a story about aliens on Earth falling in love. From there, we developed it further and felt it needed a twist to make it more engaging. That’s when I suggested turning it into a rescue mission: an emotionally intense human-alien on one side, and another more reserved, scared alien who arrives and begins to learn about human emotions and realises they are not so bad.

We also wanted to avoid making the aliens look traditionally “alien,” so instead we focused on performance. Their alien nature is shown through acting, dialogue, and behaviour rather than appearance. Our alien-human characters act in strange, unfamiliar ways like children experiencing the world for the first time.

Ultimately, the story became about using an alien perspective to reflect on humanity itself. By stripping emotions back to their basics, we explore love, connection, and behaviour as if they are completely new experiences. At its heart, the film aims to be both funny and heartfelt, reminding audiences of what it means to feel.
